About the role
Platin Gaming is seeking an experienced Senior Sportsbook Trader to manage our sportsbook operations. You'll be responsible for compiling odds, managing risk exposure, and ensuring competitive pricing across major sporting events.
This role requires deep knowledge of sports betting markets, risk management, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. You'll work with our trading team to maximize profitability while maintaining player satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Compile and manage odds for major sporting events
- Monitor betting patterns and adjust odds in real-time
- Manage risk exposure and liability across markets
- Analyze competitor pricing and market movements
- Handle high-stake bets and suspicious betting activity
- Create trading rules and automated pricing strategies
- Train and mentor junior traders
- Collaborate with product team on new betting features
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as sportsbook trader
- Expert knowledge of football, tennis, basketball, and other major sports
- Strong understanding of odds compilation and risk management
- Experience with trading platforms and tools
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (MGA, UKGC)
- Fluent English, additional languages a plus
