About the role
As an In-Play Trader, you'll manage live betting markets during sporting events, making split-second decisions to adjust odds and manage risk. This fast-paced role requires quick thinking, sports knowledge, and the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
You'll be at the heart of our live betting operations, ensuring competitive odds and protecting the company from excessive liability during live sporting action.
Responsibilities
- Manage in-play betting markets during live sporting events
- Adjust odds in real-time based on match developments
- Suspend and reopen markets quickly and accurately
- Monitor betting patterns and manage liability exposure
- Handle high-stake live bets and escalations
- Coordinate with pre-match traders on market transitions
- Report technical issues and market irregularities
- Cover multiple sporting events simultaneously
Requirements
- 3+ years of sportsbook trading experience (in-play preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of major sports and in-play dynamics
- Ability to make quick decisions under pressure
- Strong focus and concentration during long shifts
- Experience with live trading platforms
- Good hand-eye coordination and fast typing
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent English communication skills
